Working on UFOs

My oldest (quilt) UFO; Got the Blues,  (#8 on my UFO list) is currently under the needle!

I made the first blocks February 2012! It's time to get it done, isn't it?!

I don't have any other updates on this one. It was thread basted last year, and since then; just sitting there waiting for thread and decision how to quilt it.

Yesterday I quilted about 1/4. It's a big quilt to maneuverer even with the 10" working area on the machine. The quilt measures about 84 x 96 inches / 213 x 243 cm
My goal is to get it done by end of this month (June).
That reminds me; I have to check if I have enough fabric for binding!

Good for you for tackling such a big project on your domestic machine! It would take me many months to quilt a project that size so your finishing it in a couple weeks, blows me away. Way to go for finishing a project you started a while ago!

Your quilt is beautiful, and it will be nice to have a long-term UFO completed!

Love this blue/white quilt, Astrid--so pretty!! I tend to roll my quilts up when I do a big one on Helga and that helps...also I have a good sized harp...

Your blue project is gorgeous. UFO or not, there always comes a time for a project to get its turn under the needle. Good luck working on your goal. I'll be right here waiting for when its time comes to shine. Happy stitching. I'm working on a blue project too this week (along with other UFOs of course.)

That is a big quilt to quilt on your own sewing machine! It looks like a beauty - I love all those blues. Won't it be a good feeling to finish it up?!

Thank you, Chantal! I have yet to look for fabric for binding in my stash. I know I have some dark blue batik. Hopefully that would work.

Your blue quilt is looking lovely. It really doesn't matter how long it has been because it will be wonderful when it is done.
