True Blue - Progress

I worked on True Blue in January, when the chosen RSC color was blue
Unit #1 and #2 were done, and part of unit #3

The last days I'm working on True Blue again

The last 4 blocks of unit #3 are done

...and I'm almost done with the corner units.
I have to make 160 triangles! I'm almost there! 24 to go!

I'm making it scrappy; one triangle at a time. I have so many 1.5" strips to use. I was struggling with the first corner units; the pressing direction (on the pattern). I think it was because I do one triangle at a time. I got irritated and decided to press the seams open. Doing it that way worked much better!

I love how these blocks turn out.

Those of you on the Northern hemisphere, is there any sign of spring or is it winter?
February has been hot, and it continues into March; we have had a few days with 91.4F (33C), which IS hot halfway on the plateau where we live. The west coastal region has recorded 95F (35C). In addition; 70-85% humidity. I can't wait for cooler days; one month to go before it starts cooling down!

We are still pretty much snowed in here; at least it's raining today and there is some visible melting going on at 39 degrees.
Your RSC blue pattern is really lovely--lots of pieces in this block...nice work.
I was finally feeling well enough to sew 3 rows of my JRJ together this morning...slow but sure it';; get done...hugs, Julierose

I don't like such high humidity it makes me feel limp! I love that blue fabric you show

Blue's my favourite colour so of course I love these!
It's warmed up somewhat here in southern Ontario but they're calling for the possibility of freezing rain now. The past couple of days it was actually above freezing so it felt like spring might be arriving soon (we hope!)

That block is stunning, Astrid. And I love the fabrics. I hope you get some cooler temps soon. We went from snow a week ago on Monday to the 70 degrees F yesterday (Wednesday).

We're expecting another storm so we're definitely still in winter! Love this block! What a great use of scraps!!!

Thank you, Linda. I don't think one can go wrong with blue and white.

Those blocks look wonderful. I can see that there is a lot of work involved. The blocks will look great together!

Another really great quilt, Astrid! That’s a fantastic block and I like the way it looks in the blues.
