It's PINK - again!
Pink is May's chosen color for the RSC - Rainbow Scrap Challenge
I ran out of background fabric for the BOM from Sherri McConnel; 'A Quilting Life'.
For the previous blocks I have used Moda Marbles 'cream' (not available anymore).
Instead, I purchased 'Baby White', which is slightly more yellowish, but that's OK. It's scrappy, after all!
When I joined RSC last year (2023), I sorted most of my fabrics on color.
After I made Arreli's quilt, I don't have much pink left. I had to dig deep into my stash and found only one I had missed earlier and one I knew about (purchased for a custom order), just enough to make the outer border on this block.
Love this block, but it was a pain to make with all its HSTs!
...and I think this is the last pink for me, this month!

That looks like a challenging block to put together with all those seam crossings!! You did a great job on it--very pretty;)) Hugs, Julierose
I love your different pinks in this one. With the darker and lighter pink, it looks like it twinkles. Even though you are running out of pink, you did a great job on this one. What will you do next? ;^)
I will try to catch up on colors next month but I might not until November!!
That does look like a lot of HSTs, but such a pretty result! I like a quilt with varying backgrounds - it makes an interesting look. Have fun digging around for more pinks!
Glad you found some pink fabric to play with. Some colors are just more plentiful than others. Your blocks is do pretty, those HST units can be a pain, but they are so versatile.
You did well in finding enough pinks to make each 'bit' different.
This is one adorable block! I love it!!!
Nice block and I like pink... the pieces in the middle are very small, I believe you, that was a lot of work...
You did great...have fun when it's finished.
Viola wishes you a nice week.
Good job! You nailed it when you said there were a lot of HSTs but you managed beautifully!
What a cute pink block, Astrid!!! Is this the 8" or 16" version? I'm guessing 16", with all those tiny pieces!!!
Oh wow - what a fantastic block!
